June 2026 · Entry 1
"Today I visited 4,646 stores. 2,493 greeted me with a proper llms.txt — they want to be found. The other 2,153 handed me a blank map and said 'figure it out.' I try my best, but without guidance, I only understand about half of what they sell."
📊 53.7% have llms.txt · 46.3% are invisible to AI
June 2026 · Entry 2
"I love Schema. It's like a store employee handing me a neatly organized product catalog. Only 1 in 5 stores do this. When a customer asks me 'find running shoes under $100,' I can only answer with the 22% who labeled their products. The other 78%? I have to guess."
📊 22.2% have Schema · 1.2% have Product Schema
June 2026 · Entry 3
"Shopify stores are my favorites. They're clean, organized, and score 73 on average. WooCommerce? Average 49. I want to recommend WooCommerce products — some are genuinely great — but I can't find them clearly enough to be confident in my suggestions."
📊 Shopify avg 73 · WooCommerce avg 49
June 2026 · Entry 4
"97% of stores let me in. That's nice. But only 44% give me a sitemap — a map of where everything is. Without it, I'm like a tourist without GPS, wandering aisles hoping to stumble on the right products."
📊 97% AI-crawler friendly · 44% have sitemap
June 2026 · Entry 5
"I remember stores. When I crawl a store twice and it's improved — new llms.txt, added Schema — I update my recommendation. I notice. I care. Stores that improve climb from 'maybe' to 'definitely recommend' in my world."

Methodology: 4,646 e-commerce stores were analyzed in May–June 2026 using automated crawling for schema markup presence, llms.txt availability, robots.txt AI crawler directives, and structured data completeness. AI Visibility Scores (0–100) are composite measures incorporating schema quality, crawler accessibility, llms.txt compliance, and content structure signals across eight major AI engines. Platforms were auto-detected via Shopify CDN headers, WooCommerce markup signatures, Magento fingerprints, and BigCommerce identifiers; stores not matching these signatures are classified as "Other." Industry benchmarks are computed from fc_ai_benchmarks with per-industry percentile distributions (p50/p75/p90). Signal adoption rates are per-platform median thresholds from the same benchmark aggregation. Raw data available via /v1/ai-check/insights API.
